Behind the Words
About the author
Scott MacArthur was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and raised in Colorado. After watching Top Gun when he was 6 years old, he dreamed of becoming a fighter pilot. As the years progressed, he set his sights on the lucrative airline industry. However, after the events of 9-11, Scott switched gears and became an air traffic controller.

An avid reader his whole life, Scott was drawn to anything creepy and scary. He read every Stephen King book, and enjoyed others in the genre like Dean Koontz, and Peter Straub, along with Dan Brown, J.K. Rowling, and Suzanne Collins. Scott even dabbled in his own stories over the years, but began serious attempts four years ago with short stories. As his craft improved, he drafted his debut novel in the summer of 2020.

Buried is now complete and the first draft of his next novel, Needle, is finished and waiting the next round of edits. He's brainstorming his third novel which will include zombies, vampires, and a dwindling human population.

He still lives in Colorado with his beautiful wife, their three children, and five cats. When he's not directing planes across the sky, he enjoys golfing, strumming his guitar, playing video games, and puffing on a nice cigar while he writes.
